Block Printed Collage Art Quilt with Judy Gula

Many Supplies Provided! Block printing on textiles with carved wooden blocks is an ancient art — one of the earliest methods of surface design! Learn to block print using a wide variety of provided wooden printing blocks and Artistic Artifacts textile paints. Design principles will be taught as you cut your block printed fabric as well as other prints and solids into raw-edged blocks units, assembling the artful collages with fusing. The final touch is free motion quilting and stitching by machine or by hand (your choice). About the Instructor: Judy Gula, owner of Artistic Artifacts, believes that to make art, you must live art. She finds inspiration in new and vintage materials, her interactions with other artists, and in surprising and unexpected experiences.
