The Brimfield Block Pattern is an English Paper Piecing (EPP) pattern that will make a finished quilt of 12 blocks, 61 in. x 47 in. Pattern only: Brimfield Block paper pieces and templates sold separately (there is no option to trace the shapes in this pattern). Designed by Kim Martucci and Nisha Bouri of Brimfield Awakening and inspired by an orphaned quilt block unearthed at the Brimfield Antiques Show in Massachusetts, the EPP segments are appliqued onto a square of fabric to make a complete block. The two negative spaces that result when the blocks are assembled -- both inside each block and within the lattice work of the pieced blocks are options for beautiful hand or machine quilting designs.
