Saturday, April 28, 2018
10:00 am - 4:30 pm, ½ hour lunch break
What do you do with the pile of giveaway /souvenir T-shirts you’ve received from events, conferences or schools? Or a favorite shirt retired because of a torn sleeve...or thrift store T-shirts you’ve noticed in beautiful colors, but too big, too small or just not stylish? Upcycle them into a new, one of a kind garment using a commercial pattern and techniques like piecing, appliqué and surface design. Learn how to sew with knits as you cut and piece your top, combining colors and patterns, conserving logos, lettering or other design features, and refashioning it all into a unique, embellished designer look.
