      Baked Velvets designed by Seth Apter for Emerald Creek are semi-matte powders that add depth, dimension and richness to any project. The three neutral colors are opaque: Desert, Desert and White Cloud. The other translucent blends fuse together to allow the under-surface to show through, and with full coverage, the effect is faux-encaustic! As powders the translucent colors look bright, but when melted they act like tinted beeswax, allowing what’s underneath to show through. Please note — these powders are special artisan blends that are hand-dyed in small batches. As a result, you may see some slight variations between batches. Note also that the manufacturer is changing the packaging of these powders: you will receive 17 grams (measured by weight not volume) per color whether in a jar or resealable plastic envelope.
