These little art quilts are very whimsical, and you’ll think you’re in the Octopus Garden just swimming around! Let Susan take you on an exploration of the undersea world of imagination... it’s colorful and fun to make all these 3-D elements, and then embroider the background with curls and swirls using lots of fun stitches. So if you’ve been wanting to explore more hand embroidery stitching and “Stumpwork” (3-D embroidery) this class will help you learn and be more creative with your work. These little sea creatures are so much fun to make! Students will receive a $15 pattern to keep (please bring cash to pay Susan directly the day of class). Download your class supply list »
About the Instructor: Susan Edmonson is an award winning quilter and mixed media artist. She started her journey in 1981, with her passion mixing all of her artistic knowledge into creative art quilts and fabric books, with each one heavily embellished by hand or machine! Most of her designs are inspired by Nature with attention to detail. A BERNINA Brand Ambassador, her classes are designed to inspire her students! She has been published in many Somerset Studio Publications, Quilting Arts, and others, along with three segments on Quilting Arts TV.
