In this class you will learn: how to edit and improve your old photos using your phone or tablet; receive thorough instruction on TAP image transfers; learn ow and why Lesley arrives at her fabric and design decisions; learn about composition, scale, balance and color; and discover how to use image, words and fabric to tell and enhance a story. Receive all Lesley’s insider tips and tricks as you have fun playing with your fabric! Student Supply List: Bring a photograph you would like to work with, a selection of fabrics, embellishments and ephemera you’re considering.
About the Instructor Lesley Riley is an internationally known mixed media artist, art quilter, instructor, writer, coach and mentor who turned her initial passion for photos, color and the written word into a dream ‘occupassion’ with her art and articles appearing in too many places to keep count. In an ongoing effort to find the best ways for quilters and mixed media artists to get permanent photos on fabric, Lesley introduced Transfer Artist Paper™, named the Craft & Hobby Association (CHA) 2011 Most Innovative new product. She is a former Contributing Editor of Cloth Paper Scissors magazine and has authored numerous books introducing versatile new materials and techniques to the quilt and mixed media art world.
