Learn the technique to make this “swirling” one-block quilt from the Blue Onion Quilt Pattern, Saginaw St Quilts (pattern purchase required for class) and using the Oval All Ways Creative Grids Quilt Ruler. The organizing of the fabric and then the cutting of the pieces using the ruler will be taught, as well as instructions on precise curved piecing. Download your student supply list now »
Note: due to the complexity of this curved block, students will not finish their quilt top, but you will leave class with all the skills necessary to complete your Blue Onion quilt at home! Email us if you have questions about this class.
About the Instructor: Dudley Shugart, a member of the Burke chapter of Quilter’s Unlimited, has been quilting for decades as well as having years of experience working at quilt shops, including Artistic Artifacts. Dudley also frequently demonstrates specific quilting techniques at the shop.
