DescriptionAdvanced and Quilted Tabula Rasa Jackets with Fit for Art Patterns (2 part class)
Saturday, October 15 and October 29, 2022
10:30 am - 4:30 pm
With a well fitting Tabula Rasa Jacket pattern in hand, Rae and Carrie of Fit for Art Patterns will guide you in making the jacket of your dreams. The first session will begin with considering techniques for piecing, layering, embellishing and making style changes with the Tabula Rasa Jacket variation patterns. Each student will create a plan for a successful jacket, personalized for their chosen fabrics and design concepts. Step-by-step engineering plans will be prepared to map out each step in their jacket making process. Then the work will begin to cut and assemble the jacket. The generous two weeks between classes affords time for the jacket sections to be completed and ready for final construction and finishing in the second group session October 29.
