Vintage Enamel Watch Dial, sold one per pack, sizes range from approximately 1½" to 1¾" in diameter. Assorted designs available: one will be selected randomly for you (photo is an illustration of 5 dials, your single dial may differ). Often referred to as watch faces, enamel dials were made in a labor intensive process by firing several layers of ground enamel powder onto a copper (or other metal) base. The surface was then polished, with numerals and markers painted on and re-fired to produce a hardfinish. Due to the dials fragility, hairline cracks or small chips in the surface of an enamel dial may be expected, but add character and patina. Wonderful altered jewelry or mixed media assemblage elements!
