Gel Printing with Susan Gantz
Saturday, April 27, 2019
10:00 am – 1:00 pm
While there are many ways to monoprint (the creation of a print that is one of a kind), the most fun is using Gel Printing Plates
, made of a unique polygel that looks and feels like gelatin, but is durable, reusable and stores at room temperature. This process offers you spontaneity and creates wonderful painterly effects you can quickly and easily achieve. $36.00 workshop fee and $10.00 kit fee, includes the use of Gel Printing Plates, paints, brayers and a variety of items to create texture and pattern, plus a selection of substrates to print on. Plan to bring your own varieties of paper to create a large stash: download brief class supply list »
(note that the focus of this class will be printing on paper, but you are welcome to bring fabric to experiment with if you like.)
