Batik Panel by Liya
These panels created by Indonesian Artist Liya are representative of the Ondel Ondel Betawi, considered a spiritual representation of village ancestors. Originally, Ondel Ondel Betawi was used to protect a village from calamities that could possibly harm the peace of a village and to ward off evil spirits. Approximately 30 inches x 36 inches (as each panel is handmade, please allow for size variances of up to an inch for height or width), 100% cotton and colorfast; the last stage of the batik process is boiling out the wax, so our Batik panels are completely washable. Due to their handcrafted nature, the Batik Panels are each individual and unique; product photographs may vary from the actual item shipped: differences in the sketched outlines, fill patterns, dyes and more are common and are to be embraced. You will receive a one of a kind piece of art!
