Artistic Artifacts Class/Workshop Policies
Please add sales@ArtisticArtifacts.com to your email contacts/safe list, or periodically monitor your spam/junk folder, to ensure that you receive all pertinent class communications and notices.
We ask that participants register a minimum of one week in advance. While Artistic Artifacts is happy to accomodate last-minute registrations when possible, we must unfortunately cancel our classes/workshops if a minimum number of participants have not registered in advance (see more below). Registering early is also a courtesy that gives our instructors adequate time to prepare their class handouts, kits and supplies.
Your payment will be processed at the time you register online, or select your class while in the store. For those that cannot register online, a telephone or email request will reserve your spot, but customers paid in full have first priority on class slots. Those who reserve a space without making the registration payment risk being bumped from the class if space requires.
Cancelling Your Registration
Please email: sales@ArtisticArtifacts.com if you cannot attend the class. When doing so, request confirmation that your email has been sent and received.
We will process a refund†, less a $10.00 cancellation fee, IF the following circumstances occurs:
- you contact us to cancel a week (or more) prior to the class date
- you contact us less than a week prior to the class, but you recruit someone to fill your slot. Your refund cannot be processed until after the replacement student pays Artistic Artifacts in full.
† Registrations processed through our secure online shop will be refunded back to the payment credit card or Paypal account, less the $10.00 cancellation fee. If you registered and paid for your class while shopping in our Alexandria, VA shop, refund transactions must take place in person, and you must have the same credit card used for payment on hand. Alternatively, store credit can be issued.
Artistic Artifacts reserves the right to cancel a class if the minimum number of 6 students is not met. You will be notified in advance and your enrollment fee refunded in full.
Your class enrollment entitles you to a 10% in-store discount* on purchases during the class period. (* Discount excludes future class registrations and BERNINA sewing machines and accessories.)
Classroom space is limited, so please advise family and friends that only attendees are allowed in the classroom.
For the comfort of others, please refrain from wearing heavily scented perfumes, colognes, creams, etc. Thank you.
Whenever possible we include all information on our website concerning your class, including workshop supply lists as part of the class description or as a downloadable PDF. If you have questions about the supplies necessary for your class, please email us.
If your class requires you to bring your own sewing machine, please make sure that it is in good working order and you are familiar with its use, unless the class description notes it is geared toward beginners and indicates that some usage instruction will be covered. Remember to bring your manual, power cord, foot pedal and all necessary accessories. We advise that you practice setting up your machine and testing its use before the class. Inclement Weather Policy
We do not always follow Alexandria city/county school closing announcements. There can be many changes in the course of the day, and our instructors may come from areas that may experience different weather conditions. Call us at 703-823-0202 if you have any doubt.
