Artistic Artifacts and the Row By Row Experience

Row by Row H2O | June 21 – September 8, 2015 | 50 States & Canada!

The Row by Row Experience began in 2011 with 20 quilt shops across New York State and has steadily grown over the years: in 2015 all 50 states and several additional Canadian provinces are planning fun for travelers throughout the summer! We really enjoyed our 2014 experience with this fun shop hop...we met new friends and customers from so many different states and from Ontario. We are lucky to be located so close to Washington, DC, a vacation destination for so many families, and appreciate how many people made plans to visit us last summer.

The 2015 theme for ? Row by Row H2O...that’s right… it’s WATER! Shops love to be creative with the theme each year as they work it into their row, so you will likely see a wide variety in how it is interpreted. A locally known lake, a waterfall...or maybe a fountain, a fishing spot...or something silly, like a glass of ice cubes, snowy trees, a puddle, a water bottle. The reveal of 2015 Artistic Artifacts row will be coming soon!

Enjoy the Row by Row Experience! Simply visit any participating quilt shop during the summer and ask for their free pattern for a row in a quilt (limit one per person, walk-in customers only).

With the Row by Row Experience you can win a prize stash of 25 fat quarters (that’s 6¼ yards of fabric)! To win, complete* a quilt using at least 8 different rows from 8 different 2015 participating shops, and be the first to bring it into a shop to win (one prize per shop as well as one prize per quilter).
      * “Complete” means quilted, bound, labeled.

You decide what pattern to use for your quilt. Stack your rows, arrange around a center medallion, make them horizontal, vertical, upside down, on the front, on the back, whatever! You are the designer. Be creative and have fun, but be sure to use 8 different 2015 rows from 8 different 2015 shops. In addition to the fat quarter fabric prize, most shops are also offering a bonus prize for those using the store’s row in your quilt — we will!

Our pattern will available at shoppers beginning June 21 and through September 8, 2015. Customers will have until October 31, 2015 to bring in their completed quilt for a prize.
