Several new titles have been added to our extensive listing of craft and hobby books, including one not readily found elsewhere: the 2013 Sacred Threads exhibition catalog. This biennial, international juried show on the spiritual themes of joy, inspiration, peace, brotherhood, grief and healing featured 231 art quilts by 191 artists from the USA and Canada; the book is illustrated in this book with full color photographs and each artist’s statement. Last Class of 2013 — Great Handmade Gift!

We still have space available in our last class of the year: Altered Keys with Leslie Brier on Sunday, December 8. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to learn some new techniques as you create beautiful pieces of jewelry that could make a unique gift for someone special — or yourself! All supplies provided!

We will begin again in January with a full slate of classes, including a newly scheduled Beginning Sewing with Lynda Poole Prioleau (3 sessions, Sunday afternoons). This is the “learn to sew” class we’ve had multiple requests for, and is suitable for all ages!
