Q. What is the closest Metro Station?
The Van Dorn Street Station on the Blue Line is located at 5690 Eisenhower Avenue about 10 blocks (.72 miles) from Artistic Artifacts. The shop is also on numerous bus routes.
Q. What are the Directions to your retail store by car?
Take the Washington Beltway to exit 174, Eisenhower Avenue Connector. After exiting onto the ramp and merging on the Connector, you will come to an intersection. Take a left onto Eisenhower Avenue. 4750 Eisenhower Avenue is a red brick building approximately ¼ mile on the left, after the FEDEX sign and before the condominium complex. Q. What is Artistic Artifact's current Covid Policy?
As a member of the Alexandria business community, Artistic Artifacts has always followed the Covid-19 policies and guidance provided by the city. Alexandria is currently at a medium COVID-19 community level. Wearing a mask is not required in most settings, but highly recommended. Specific settings, such as health care and congregate facilities, may require masks.
Q. What type of Sewing Machines do you sell and service?
Artistic Artifacts is an authorized BERNINA dealer that sells machines and accessories for BERNINA models and bernette models. We have BERNINA-certified technicians on-site who service BERNINA and bernette machines only. Learn more about BERNINA Service & Repair.
Q. I signed up for your email and haven't received it, why?
If you find an email from [email protected] in your spam or junk folder, let your email software know it's not spam by selecting the not junk (or not spam) button. Doing so will train your program to allow emails from our email address in the future.
Q. What shipping company do you use?
Our preferred method of shipping is Federal Express Service, which allows us to pack and ship to your residence without any additional charges. If you select USPS Priority Mail, in certain cases we may choose to switch your shipping method to FedEx, unless otherwise instructed.
Q. Do you offer a free shipping coupon?
Orders totaling $75 and up shipped to U.S. addresses only receive FREE shipping- no coupon code necessary. Our free shipping offer does not include bernette and BERNINA sewing machines. If you live locally, you may save on shipping by designating under shipping settings that you wish to pick up your order in person. Same day service is not guaranteed; we will email you when your order is ready.
Q. How do you price your fabric?
When ordering fabric, please read our descriptions carefully. Unless otherwise specified, our fabric is priced and sold per 1/2 yard.
- Ordering "1" gives you a ½ yard cut
- "2"= 1 yard
- "3"= 1-1/2 yard, etc.
When multiple yards of the same fabric are ordered, we will ship a single cut whenever possible. If a specific amount of yardage is required for a project, please contact us in advance.
Q. Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship all over the world. Our system is set up to give an estimated cost before you buy. Put everything in your cart you would like to purchase. When you are in the cart, please click Check Out, enter the full shipping information, and then hit Continue. You will not be charged at this point. This step gives our system the information it needs to calculate the shipping cost. The shipping cost will be on the left side of the page.
Q. Can I place an order over the phone?
We are not set up to take orders over the phone, plus it is safer to transmit information via our secure online shopping software, which encrypts your credit card number for your protection. You can set up a customer account with us or place your order as a guest.
Q. How do I redeem my Artistic Artifacts gift certificate?
You must have an Artistic Artifacts store account and be actively signed in to redeem gift certificate codes. After redeeming theunique alpha-numeric gift certificate code, the credit will show up in your Customer Account Balance screen where you can use it to pay for an online order. Q. Does Artistic Artifacts let you set up a ‘wish list’ for products
You must have an Artistic Artifacts store account to create or access your Wish Lists (you can create and maintain multiple lists). Every product detail page includes the red “Add to Wish List” button for you to add it. Learn more about creating and viewing wish lists.
