Fun and creative fiber, mixed media and jewelry classes and workshops with renowned instructors are scheduled at our store in Alexandria, VA on a regular basis — view our current lineup now. We offer classes to build a community of inspiring teachers and students — students who want creative freedom, students who are ready to create from their hearts, students who want to discover their voice.
Artistic Artifacts students show off newly made bamboo bracelets.
Our workshops offer a creative and supportive environment with sharing artists. All Artistic Artifacts instructors are talented artists themselves, comfortable sharing their experiences and creative techniques. We’re always looking for new ideas, so contact us with your thoughts and requests and remember that we are happy to arrange a custom class to suit your schedule!
It is our goal to encourage everyone who searches for the creative voice the opportunity to practice and to experience new techniques and mediums.
Join our community by taking our classes! “I challenge you to try something that interests you, but doesn’t have a connection to the art that you create now,” says Artistic Artifacts owner Judy Gula. “And then take a class that enhances the art that you do now. All that you learn, experience and share moves your creative side forward.”
Those eager for more creative community and sharing might be interested in joining Judy’s Altered Minds (affectionately known as JAMs for short), a free altered art group that meets at Artistic Artifacts on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 1:00 pm. Learn more about JAMs »
At Artistic Artifacts, we want to encourage you to be creative… yes, it does take practice!
If you’re interested in our workshops but can’t make a scheduled date, or have an interest we aren’t currently offering, Artistic Artifacts can arrange classes on
a custom basis. Gather five (or more) friends and we’ll be happy to schedule your fun!
