Many of Artistic Artifacts’ products are unique, and any photo is intended to provide a reasonable example of the type of product being purchased; actual products will vary. There are many items that are one of a kind or of limited quantity, so certain products will sell out and not reappear in the future. In addition, many of the items have had a previous life, and we now call them vintage, so expectations of perfection should be replaced with expectations of personality and character.
Artistic Artifacts will not honor $0.00 pricing or shipping charges that are a result of technical errors with our secure online shopping software. We will contact customers in the event of such problems to resolve the order.

Online Shopping & Shipping Policies
Residents of the state of Virginia are subject to 6% state/local sales tax.
When ordering fabric, please read our descriptions and adjust your quantity to ensure receiving the amount of fabric you desire. In most instances, our fabric is priced and sold per ½ yard:
- ordering "1" gives you a ½ yard cut
- "2" = 1 yard
- "3" = 1½ yards, etc.
When multiple yards of the same fabric are ordered, we will ship a single cut whenever possible, but we ask that our customers accept that fabric could arrive in ½ and 1 yard cuts that equal their desired quantity. If a specific amount of yardage is needed uncut, please contact us in advance.
The security of your personal information is important to us. Your personally identifiable information is kept secure, and the transmission of sensitive information collected on our order form/shopping cart is encrypted using standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL), which provides you with a secure log in/checkout process. Miva Merchant, the functionality behind Artistic Artifacts’s store, is a Participant in the TRUSTe Privacy Seal Program. TRUSTe is an independent organization whose mission is to advance privacy and trust in the networked world.
Artistic Artifacts can accept most major credit cards as well as PayPal. If you do not already have a PayPal account, they are free and easy to set up. You may load your shopping cart and when finished, click on "Checkout." PayPal will prompt you through the steps to set up your account and make a payment.
Please provide a valid email address. This is used for order confirmation, shipping confirmation, and to contact you in the event there is a problem with your order. Orders that do not provide a valid email address may be cancelled.
Unless otherwise designated and purchased during checkout, the method of shipping will be the United States Postal Service (USPS) Priority Mail service. This is the most cost-efficient way to ship product. We do recommend paying the additional money for insurance at the check out. Any shipments made without insurance will be at the purchaser’s risk: if the product is lost, we will not replace or credit you. USPS has flat rate Priority packaging and we use them whenever we can to save you money.
Place your order online and choose between USPS or Fed Ex as your freight option. We will prepare an order total including international mailing costs. All duties, taxes and fees are the responsibility of the purchaser.
Customs Information: All invoices included with the order will represent the actual value of the merchandise shipped. No exceptions.
Insurance is an additional charge and must be selected during the checkout process. We are not responsible for orders sent uninsured. Please be sure to select insurance during check out.
Please email us about any product received that is not as it is described, or any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase. We will attempt to do what is necessary to correct the situation, whether sending a replacement (if possible) or providing a refund. Should you choose to return your order for a refund, please follow these instructions:
Retain the original packaging, and please re-wrap and cushion appropriately. Upon our receipt and inspection of the returned goods, you will receive a refund to your credit card or PayPal account, less the shipping costs and any transaction fees, as long as the product is still in resalable condition.
Please inspect your purchases upon receipt, as we can only refund your payment within 30 days of the purchase date. After that period, you will receive a store credit towards your next purchase.

As noted here, many of Artistic Artifacts’ products are unique, and the illustration photograph should be considered representation of product being purchased; actual products may vary. The vintage products sold may feature aging, wear, dings or chips, and these should be considered desirable characteristics.
Despite every effort to accurately duplicate each product’s color when scanned to our website, actual colors may vary. Due to monitor and/or video card differences, subtle variations in color and surface texture may not be fully revealed. The colors on your screen may not be an accurate depiction of the actual color. Product photos should be used as a guide only. Artistic Artifacts customers must accept that any slight variations occurring between the actual color and texture, and the representation on our website, will be acceptable. Variations might occur between the product photo and what is shipped, in particular with regard to hand dyed materials (dye lot variations are common and are not defects) and vintage products, with their desired patina of age and wear.
Artistic Artifacts makes no claims regarding the copyright status of any mixed media sold on the website. There seem to be many interpretations to collage/derivative work, and it is the individual’s decision on how he/she will use the the particular product. It is not our intent to offer any legal advice in this area.
